Obviously it’s an honor to host Saturday night live even once. However, some celebrities are so good on the show that they are invited back. And again.
Since the late-night show debuted in 1975, a club of recurring hosts has developed, and it’s actually called the “Five-Timers Club.” Members are initiated after presenting at least five episodes. You gain entry to the club (and get a cool jacket to commemorate the occasion) after your fifth show.
It’s such an exclusive group that only 26 members have joined in almost 50 years.
Hosting the show five times is impressive, but some of the members have taken over even more times.
