Sarah Michelle Gellar pays tribute to ‘sister’ Michelle Trachtenberg on screen on first anniversary after her death

 

Sarah Michelle Gellar is paying tribute to her on-screen “sister” Michelle Trachtenberg on his first anniversary since his death.

Saturday would have been the actress’ 40th birthday. However, as you know, she tragically passed away in February due to “complications of diabetes mellitus.” Her death was painful for everyone, even after so many months. And we can imagine her birthday will be even harder for her friends and family, including Sarah.

As you know, she and Michelle starred All my children in the early 1990s. They later reunited for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as Michelle played the younger sister of Sarah, Buffy’s titular character, Dawn. For the Ice Princess star’s birthday, the I know what you did last summer actress took to Instagram to share a video of them Buffy characters hugging each other, to the sound of music See you again put Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth. She also wrote in the caption:

“When you turned 16, it was hard not to see you as the little girl I met on All My Children anymore. When you turned 21, I had to teach myself not to see you as the little sister anymore. I can’t imagine what it would have been like to be 40. This I know…it would be full of love. Happy birthday, @michelletrachtenberg”
