Protesters clashed with federal brokers and police outdoors a detention middle for unlawful immigrants in Portland, Oregon, over the weekend.

An offended crowd that included black-clad Antifa members threw fireworks at law enforcement officials, who responded with tear gasoline and pepper balls.

For weeks, protesters have held rallies and blocked the doorway to a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility, decrying President Donald Trump’s crackdown on unlawful immigration.

The newest clashes adopted peaceable ‘No Kings’ protest marches in a number of cities, together with Portland.

On Monday, a federal appeals court docket allowed Trump to ship the Nationwide Guard to Oregon pending additional litigation. The president argued that the measure is important to include riots and crime in cities ruled by Democrats.
